Smt. Reku Chattopadhyay is an excellent researcher specializing in studies of backward communities and weaker sections of society, with a particular focus on women. She holds a postgraduate degree in Sociology from West Bengal State University and a certificate course in Rural Development & Self-Employment from Kalyani University. With extensive experience in both government (such as Cultural Research Institute) and autonomous research institutions (CSDS-Lokniti), she has contributed to several high-impact research projects focusing on socio-political dynamics, gender studies, and tribal development.

Jayanta Tarafder, an individual with extensive experience in the field of social sciences, engages in research activities. After earning his Master's degree from the University of Kalyani, he furthered his education by completing a course in Rural Awareness and Self-Employment at the same university. He later gained valuable insights through a short-term program at the National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) and SIPRD in West Bengal. Additionally, he has acquired knowledge in Primary Health Care from the Adult and Continuing Education Centre at the University of Kalyani. His professional background includes collaborations with esteemed institutions such as CSDS-Lokniti in Delhi, the University of Göttingen in Germany, and IIT-Kanpur.

Rima Ghosh serves as the Treasurer of HSDS and is a research officer at Lokdarshan, the research division of HSDS. As a Social Scientist, she focuses on examining public perceptions related to gender, social class, and the behavioral attitudes prevalent in mass culture. She earned her Master's degree from the University of Kalyani and subsequently obtained an M.Phil. from the Centre for Women's Studies at the same university in West Bengal. Additionally, she has received training in quantitative data analysis using R and SPSS at the Summer School of the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS). Rima also holds the position of West Bengal supervisor for Lokniti-CSDS. Previously, she worked with the Just Transition Research Centre at IIT Kanpur and the Asiatic Society in Kolkata, and she has gained international experience at the University of Göttingen in Germany and Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi.
